The Journey – Music Animation

I was asked to animate a video for a track release by wonderful the guitarist David D’andrade.
This was quite a challenge because David had a specific idea of Space in mind and I thought that I may have to resort to stock footage but in fact, all of the space scenes here are created within After Effects, including the Earth flyby shot. There was a lot of tutorials to learn to complete this project but I like the way it builds from a black and white, 2D hand drawn style to full colour, photorealistic animation. The frame rate changes from 12fps to 24fps to add to the feeling.
